I tossed and turned, trying to fall asleep. Sweat poured out from my dry forehead. I couldn't fall asleep, no matter what I did. They could encase me in a crate made for animals- we weren't animals. We were experiments, avian-human crossovers.
"Hey, Tori?"
Poof. The youngest out of everyone. She was around the age of nine, we all assumed. With her short medium length hair, and her pale blue eyes, she was our poof.
"Yeah, Poof?"
"You can't sleep either, Poof?"
"Nope!"
"Guys, tone it down," came another voice. "You woke me up."
"Like any of us can sleep, Viper."
Viper's our leader, y'all know, then we're the guru. It's great, honestly. Think
